40S Water-Soft Cotton Weft Elastic Fabric integrates three core superior properties: soft and smooth texture from 40S high-count yarn spinning, exceptional water-soft handfeel and skin compatibility from specialized wet processing, and inherent breathability and moisture absorption of high-grade cotton combined with excellent weft elastic performance.
As a versatile textile, it features delicate texture, comfortable wearing experience and outstanding functional performance. Thus, it has become a high-performance, high-value option favored in casual apparel, premium loungewear, stretch underwear and soft outerwear linings.
40S high-count yarn spinning paired with specialized wet processing and weft elastic weaving produces a smooth, fine finish (free of coarseness). I. Material & Yarn Characteristics
This fabric is crafted from high-quality 40S high-count cotton yarn blended with spandex (main composition: 95% premium cotton + 5% spandex), leveraging cotton’s inherent softness and excellent moisture absorption as well as spandex’s superior elasticity. It adopts an exquisite plain weave structure combined with specialized wet processing and weft elastic weaving technology.
The 40S high-count yarn spinning, specialized wet processing and weft elastic weaving are achieved through precise technological calibration. The 95% premium cotton ensures inherent breathability, moisture-wicking capacity and skin compatibility, avoiding skin irritation during use. The 5% spandex component provides excellent weft elasticity and quick recovery performance, ensuring the fabric stretches freely with body movements without permanent deformation. The specialized wet processing (including scouring, bleaching and softening) integrates physical and chemical processes scientifically: it enhances texture fineness to deliver a silky, water-like soft wearing sensation, and optimizes surface smoothness to reduce skin friction and improve comfort. Meanwhile, the weft elastic weaving technology ensures uniform elastic distribution, further boosting the fabric’s wearing comfort and shape-adapting performance.
In addition, the fabric is finished with advanced hydrophilic, anti-static and elastic retention treatments.
